FAQ

Skincare Information

1. Are our products tested on animals?

CNP Laboratory does not conduct or commission animal testing on raw materials or finished products in any phase of product development, by our laboratories or our suppliers. We do not test any of our products on animals nor does any third party test them on our behalf.

2. Are our products suitable for pregnant women?

We strongly recommend you discuss safe skincare options for you and your baby with your medical professional for best advice.

Avoiding the sun and using UV SPF protection every day is especially important during pregnancy and nursing, as the hormones released during this time can greatly increase pigmentation on your skin, causing melasma or “the mask of pregnancy.” You should also avoid using any products containing acids (AHA/BHA lactic, glycolic, salicylic etc). If breakouts or other skin conditions are a problem during pregnancy, please consult with your doctor regarding prescription topicals or medications.

3. How do I know if I have sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin means different things to different people. We all have completely unique skin meaning it requires equally unique care. Some people describe their sensitive skin as changeable, meaning its condition varies from day to day and reacts to just about anything. Some say their sensitive skin is just dry and delicate all the time. Skin can be sensitive in different ways and signs may range from a mild, tingling, burning or prickling sensation possibly accompanied by slight redness, to dryness or maybe skin tightness, roughness, flaking.

4. How to layer skincare products?

When layering products keep this rule in mind, start with the lightest weight (toner) then middle weight (ampule, serum) then heavier (creams) followed by SPF and makeup.

Generally you want to wait at least a minute or two between applications to ensure that your skin has had enough time to absorb all of the previous product before moving on to the next for best results.

5. Do you offer samples?

We have contests in Facebook whereby we offer free samples. We may also partner with selected sampling partners to provide free sampling, in which case we will provide you dates, times and locations as they become available. Notices will be sent from CNP Laboratory Singapore’s mailing list. The email address you provide to receive such notices will not be shared with the retailer. See our complete privacy policy regarding use of information you provide.
